YTEpisodes is on its way back. :)

Update 10/10/2014: I have the whole site back online now, but unfortunately I was not given the database when the other host shut the site down. I had to go back to a backup database that's from August 11th, a month before the site went down. This is likely going to be a general pain-in-the-*** all across the board. There's still a lot of work I need to do though, before the site can go back online.

In the meantime, I really need to ask a few of you to send donations, if possible. With my dad gone now, I'm struggling to keep my head above water, and have not even had enough money to live on since he died. Since then I've been fighting to keep myself healthy, and I use whatever energy I have to work on getting YTE back online. But as of today, everything has run out. And with this month's bills coming up and no money to put toward them, it'll be Game Over for me by the end of the month.

Update 10/21/2014: The site is ready to re-open, but I need to actively be here to make sure things run okay, and to fix things on-the-spot as members point out things that are broken. However, due to the gradual decline in donations and the sudden increase in my own household financial responsibilities (without dad, I and the roommate have to make up 100% of the bills!) I was forced to take up outside work. I've gotten together with a friend of the family who owns his own business installing and maintaining internet jukeboxes and other coin-op machines around the state of Michigan. My job will be to learn the business as I drive a huge cube van from job to job. Tomorrow I drive to up north to Gaylord, MI (250 miles!) where I'll be for the next three days doing God-knows-what in some dingy, secluded cabin in the woods (not sure why). I'm guessing there won't be any WiFi - or indoor plumbing for that matter. Anyway, I should be back on Friday, God-permitting, and it'll be then that I plan to reopen the site. But there're still a few things I do have to fix on there before I can, and I'm not sure how long that'll take.

As mentioned before, the forums will not be running when YTE comes back, but I did create a simple script that'll display forum threads (original post only) when you click on a link that takes you to a forum post. This is because a lot of our guidelines/instructions/tutorials are in the forums, and they'll still need to be accessible. You just won't be able to reply to them, or read existing replies (nor will the topic creators be able to edit their posts). It'll just be a static page.

Update 10/05/2014: Just letting everyone know things are going smoothly. I'm setting up some protections to help keep the site alive once we're back online, uploading files and making all the small changes that need to be done when the site moves to a new server. Sorry I can't go into more detail, been working on this all day, ready to crash. :/

Update 09/30/2014:
Now that dad's funeral is over (last Saturday) and visiting family have gone home, I'm taking the last remaining bit of our money to sign up for a Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting account, to relaunch YTE. I have no idea if this server will be powerful enough to host the site, but it's all I can afford at the moment. With my dad gone now, the only income this house will see is the $100/week from our roommate, and whatever donations are collected during each month. This instability will likely have some impact on the operation of the site, and I'll only be able to guarantee the site's up-time a month at a time.

For the same reasons, my presence on the site will be next to nothing. The site will be run by staff, and my only job will be to make sure the site continues to run. Also, to conserve system resources, many of the site's non-essential sub-systems will be disabled. Among other things, this will include the forums, personal photo albums, and new account registrations.

Setup of YTE's new hosting account may take at least a day. Once that's finished, uploading the files and reconfiguration of the site will likely take several more days. In the meantime, I could really use a few more donations to allow me something to live off of until I get some work lined up. (Plans were made for me to start working with a friend of the family who owns a company setting up and maintaining internet jukeboxes - sounds fun actually! But I can't start working until YTE is up and running.)

Update 09/24/2014: After a long struggle with a whole list of blood clots, infections and other miscellaneous troubles, my dad suffered a major heart attack at 9:30am this morning and died while on life-support. Sorry, that's about all I have for now.
